Kahlenberg to Hungry Hollow!

After much back-and-forth with various museums, I gave up on that path and began searching for a local club/show to house the Kahlenberg. It’s a long story but the short of it is the engine is going to the Hungry Hollow Gas and Steam Engine Club near Rice Lake, Wisconsin. They have a big show every year the last weekend of June. It isn’t huge but the club has a very nice property with a great collection of mostly, but far from exclusively, agricultural displays. This is a healthy and growing organization that I have joined and been contributing weekly. It has been a lot of fun.

Most important to me, Hungry Hollow has a small but growing collection of “large” engines. The addition of my engine has seemingly encouraged them to accelerate plans to erect a new building specifically to house and run these larger engines. So the Kahlenberg may be under a permanent roof as early as this fall.

Check out Hungry Hollow.
